Yes or No?” tanong ni Queen Manilyn.

“The answer is ‘yes,’” sagot ni Pia Cayetano.

“Konting background, medyo bago itong batas na ‘to — bago in a sense na noong nag-aaral pa lang ako ng law, hindi pa ‘yan batas,” pagbabahagi niya. “[But like] I said, nag-e-evolve tayo, nagma-mature ang society so naging understood ‘yon na kasama sa karapatan ng babae ‘yung katawan naman niya.”

“So in a loving relationship, dapat mutual.”

“Maraming nagquo-quote sa Bible na kapag mag-asawa kayo, ‘do not deny your body to the other.’ That’s directed to both of you. “So ‘pag pinilit mo, rape pa rin ‘yon.”

CAN A SPOUSE BE LIABLE FOR RAPE? CIA WITH BA ANSWERS

Yes or No?’: Can a spouse be liable for rape? ‘CIA with BA’ answers!

While it has still been a question in mind for many Filipinos, public service program ‘CIA with BA’ once and for all answered if a spouse can be accused of rape even within the bounds of marriage.

The query came from one of the members of show’s ‘Mariteam’ during the segment ‘Yes or No’ in the episode aired Sunday, November 26.

Yes or No?”

“The answer is ‘yes,’” Pia replied.

“Konting background, medyo bago itong batas na ‘to — bago in a sense na noong nag-aaral pa lang ako ng law, hindi pa ‘yan batas,” she shared. “[But like] I said, nag-e-evolve tayo, nagma-mature ang society so naging understood ‘yon na kasama sa karapatan ng babae ‘yung katawan naman niya.”

So talagang rape pa rin kahit mag-asawa, ‘pag pinilit,” Pia explained. “So in a loving relationship, dapat mutual.”

Supporting his sister’s statements, Alan Peter Cayetano expounded in the spiritual context.

“Maraming nagquo-quote sa Bible na kapag mag-asawa kayo, ‘do not deny your body to the other.’ That’s directed to both of you. So ibig sabihin, hindi inaalis ng Bible na may personal choice at consent ka,” he said. “So ‘pag pinilit mo, rape pa rin ‘yon.”

‘CIA with BA’ is now on its fourth season since it premiered on February 5 this year.

WARNER BROS. PARTNERS WITH LOCAL FILM COMPANY MENTORQUE PRODUCTIONS TO HELP REAWAKEN PHILIPPINE CINEMA

Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 springs it's first Christmas surprise with an unprecedented partnership between the Hollywood film studio Warner Bros. and rising Filipino film company Mentorque Productions for its buzzy new MMFF entry Mallari.

The partnership was announced by Rico Gonzales, distribution Director of Warner Bros. Philippines and John Bryan Diamante, President of Mentorque Productions when they held their formal contract signing last November 25, 2023 at the Chairmans Lounge in Okada Manila.

The partnership begins with Warner Bros. handling the theatrical distribution of Mallari locally, its first l9cal mainstream film distribution. The last time Warner Bros. attempted to distribute locally was a limited release of an indie film in 2003.

The road to Warner Bros. first local foray started when Gonzales was given the go-signal by the regional and head offices in Burbank to initiate Warner Bros.'s entry into strategic local ventures.

Fortuitously, Mentorque's production of Mallari appeared in Rico's radar and talks for a partnership began.

Diamante applauds Warner Bros. Support for quality local films and describes the brand-new partnership as happening because the stars have aligned.

Warner Bros. Recent interest in local films happened to start at the same time Diamante had decided to level-up Mentorques line-up from regional concerts and indie films to major film productions with mainstream and international potential.

Mallari the much awaited mind-bending horror starring award-winning Filipino Actor Piolo Pascual in inspired by the true story of Fr. Severino Mallari, the Philippine's first and only serial killer. Directed by Derrick Cabrido from a screenplay by Enrico Santos, Mallari also boasts a powerhouse cast of Janella Salvador, JC Santos, Gloria Diaz and Tommy Alejandrino.

Initial buzz points to several of Mallari's strengths that make it attractive to Warner Bros. Mallari has epic horror ambitions. Three time periods, extensive special effects and the rate alchemy of popcorn jumpscare horror and mind-bending mystery.

Rumored as the most expensive film in the MMFF 2023, Mallari had to be shot in two distant provinces of authenticity and inside a soundstage for effects. An entire Pampanga 19th century plaza was constructed in a remote land Batangas, complete with a whole church. Practiacally no one among the cast has performed a role remotely close to the one's they have performed here.

Warner had chosen a splashy first venture into the reawakening Philippine Cinema market. Along with local film distribution. Warner and Mentorque are exploring paths to Warner distributing Filipino films to the Asian region, collaborations in streaming and further along the game, the possibility of co-productions. As Gonzales quoted Warner Bros. Classic Casablanca, " I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship ".

“They listen and they dispense pieces of advice na nanggagaling sa isipan ng mga abogado.

Tunay na kahanga-hanga’: Boy Abunda acclaims ‘CIA with BA’ co-hosts Cayetano siblings

Award-winning television host Boy Abunda expressed admiration for sibling senators Alan Peter and Pia Cayetano, his co-hosts in ‘CIA with BA.’

Abunda identified what kind of issues that affect the lawmaker hosts the most.

PAGPAPATAWAD, PAGMAMAHAL AT PAG-ASA SA MGA PAMILYA AT RELASYON IBINIDA SA ' CIA WITH BA ' PRODUCER'S CUT

Pagpapatawad, pagmamahal, at pag-asa sa mga pamilya at relasyon, ibinida sa ‘CIA with BA: The Producer’s Cut’

“Not everyone can be famous but everyone can be great because greatness is determined by service.”

' CIA WITH BA ' HIGHLIGHTS FORGIVENESS, LOVE AND HOPE WITHIN FAMILIES, RELATIONSHIPS IN ' PRODUCER'S CUT '

‘CIA with BA’ highlights forgiveness, love, and hope within families, relationships in ‘Producer’s Cut’

“Not everyone can be famous but everyone can be great because greatness is determined by service.”

Quoting the American minister and activist Martin Luther King Jr., this was how award-winning television host Boy Abunda closed the special episode of public service program ‘CIA with BA’ on Sunday, November 5, as it aired a Producer’s Cut.

The show highlighted how forgiveness, love, and hope reigned among families and friends whose cases were taken on by sibling senators Alan Peter and Pia Cayetano, together with Abunda, in the past season.

These cases include a mother who complained about her son-in-law for being irresponsible and causing an accident on one of her grandchildren; a man who complained about his brother for taking their father’s land; and a landlord who wanted to eject her tenant – a friend of hers – due to incapacity to pay since the pandemic.

For the viewers’ full understanding of their respective situations, ‘CIA with BA’ also aired never-before-seen footage, including how the program helped these people resolve the issues and to move forward with their lives.

“Ang mga natutunan natin… ay pagpapatawad.. pagmamahal. Pinairal nila ang pagmamahalan,” Abunda said of the first case.

‘CIA with BA’ continues the legacy of Senator Rene Cayetano, the late father of the sibling senators. The senior Cayetano was a renowned lawyer who gained fame through his radio and TV program 'Compañero y Compañera,' which aired from 1997 to 2001.

“You have to be your own peer counselors, you have to be your own support group sa friends niyo,” aniya.

“Masarap [at] nakakakilig ma-in love pero you have to talk about the consequences.

FALLING IN LOVE AT A YOUNG AGE TINALAKAY LAST SUNDAY SA ' CIA WITH BA '

Nakakakilig ma-in love pero…’: Pia Cayetano gives advice to those who fall in love at a young age

Senator Pia Cayetano had a very on-point takeaway from one of the cases she took on, together with brother Alan Peter and Boy Abunda, in the recent episode of ‘CIA with BA.’

In the ‘Case 2 Face’ segment of the show aired Sunday, October 29, “Dayday” raised her concerns about “Bunene”, the ex-partner of her son Bingo and mother of her grandchildren who are currently in her custody.

According to Dayday, Bunene threatened to take the kids away from her to take them abroad. She described the mother of the kids as a very irresponsible parent.

However, during the discussion, it appeared that Bunene was just 15 years old when Dayday's son got her pregnant.

Unanimously, Alan, Pia, and Boy convinced the two that more than fighting for each other’s rights on who should take care of the kids, Dayday and Bunene must forgive each other, have a good relationship like a real mother-and-daughter, and help each other in building a bright future for the kids. At the end of the segment, the two agreed.

In relation to Bunene’s experience, Pia gave her advice to the youth.

“You have to be your own peer counselors, you have to be your own support group sa friends niyo,” she said.

“Masarap [at] nakakakilig ma-in love pero you have to talk about the consequences. Talk about it because kayo din naman ang magco-convince sa mga kasama niyo na, you know, ‘wag magmadali,” she added. “Kasi ‘pag ikaw ay naging single mom, napakahirap talaga!”

The public service program pledged to give educational assistance to Bunene to be able to fulfill her dream of becoming a teacher. The hosts also pledged to give some basic needs of the kids like diapers and milk.

‘CIA with BA’ continues the legacy of Senator Rene Cayetano, the late father of the sibling senators. The senior Cayetano was a renowned lawyer who gained fame through his radio and TV program 'Compañero y Compañera,' which aired from 1997 to 2001.

Don’t miss ‘CIA with BA’ with Alan, Pia and Boy every Sunday, 11:30 p.m. on GMA7
