Anna, a woke social media manager goes on a vacation to Siargao to contemplate on whether to take on his ex’s father’s political campaign. There he meets Greg and falls for him. When she discovers that he is a transman- is she ready to fall for him? UNCONDITIONAL is a meditation on love, and the ultimate sacrifices we give when we’re in love.

SYNOPSIS

“Love is a powerful force that knows no bounds, transcending time, distance, and circumstances.”

ANNA, social media manager of some of the country’s most famous stars and politicians is taking a break. This, after realizing that one of her clients, her ex-boyfriend’s father, who is set to become a Senator, is involved in graft. She is being asked by Mark—appealing to their pinagsamahan— to help him.

Hounded by her personal convictions as woke and progressive, she accepts the invitation of a friend to go to Siargao to resolve her dilemma.

The truth is, she is still in love with Mark, this is why she’s been helping him all along.

In Siargao, she meets GREG, a Pinoy who owns a small bar and, together with his sister TERRY, takes care of his mom who is recuperating from a triple bypass and showing signs of Alzheimer’s. As expected, the meeting led to another meeting. Feelings for each

other develop. But also, complications.

At first, Anna looks at Greg as a companion. But seeing Greg taking care of her and taking care of his mom, she warms up to him, slowly falls for his charm.

Greg also falls for Anna. Intensely.

Anna feels that she is ready to fall in love.

But what if Greg is not yet ready—not to fall in love—but to tell Anna that he’s a transman.

Will Anna—in all her wokeness and her progressive stance and stand, be able to accept that she has fallen in love for a transman? And if loving someone means loving that person without condition, will Anna still love Greg if she learns that he is a transman?

UNCONDITIONAL is a meditation on love, and the ultimate sacrifices we give when we’re in love.

“Pwede. That’s my law — Republic Act 11642,” sagot ni Senador Pia Cayetano, na tumutukoy sa Domestic Administrative Adoption and Alternative Child Care Act na kanyang ipinanukala..

“Because I have an adopted child, I’m very conscious of the discrimination that adopted children or adoptive parents may face. I’m familiar with that,” paliwanag niya.

Ibinahagi ni Ate Pia: “Nagagamit ko ‘yung personal experience ko and discussions with people similarly situated to realize na, ‘Teka, ‘pag nag-adopt ka e para ka ring nagka-baby, ‘di ba? Hindi nga lang ‘parang,’ nagka-baby ka talaga. Hindi nga lang lumabas sa katawan mo… but you now have to bond with this baby that was not even born of your flesh and blood.

DO ADOPTIVE PARENTS HAVE THE RIGHT TO MATERNITY/ PATERNITY LEAVE?

Do adoptive parents have the right to maternity/paternity leave?

'CIA with BA' emphasized once again the importance of understanding the law, especially for parents, to benefit both themselves and their children.

In the ‘Yes or No’ segment of the episode on Sunday, November 24, Nico of the Mariteam raised a question: “Kung hindi pwede ang hindi married, bakit ‘yung kakilala ko na nag-adopt [ng bata], nakahingi o nakakuha pa siya ng paternity leave? Pwede po ba ‘yon?”

“Pwede. That’s my law — Republic Act 11642,” Senator Pia Cayetano responded, referring to the Domestic Administrative Adoption and Alternative Child Care Act which she advocated for.

“Because I have an adopted child, I’m very conscious of the discrimination that adopted children or adoptive parents may face. I’m familiar with that,” she explained.

Ate Pia shared: “Nagagamit ko ‘yung personal experience ko and discussions with people similarly situated to realize na, ‘Teka, ‘pag nag-adopt ka e para ka ring nagka-baby, ‘di ba? Hindi nga lang ‘parang,’ nagka-baby ka talaga. Hindi nga lang lumabas sa katawan mo… but you now have to bond with this baby that was not even born of your flesh and blood.

The adoption law ensures that adoptive parents are entitled to the same rights and benefits as biological parents, including maternity and paternity leave.

This legal provision acknowledges the importance of supporting adoptive parents in their efforts to bond with and care for their children, regardless of biological connection.

Through this legislation, the government underscores its commitment to equality and fairness for all families, recognizing that the act of parenting — whether biological or adoptive — is equally significant.

‘CIA with BA’ continues the legacy of the late Senator Rene Cayetano and airs every Sunday at 11:00 p.m. on GMA7, with replays on GTV the following Saturday at 10:30 p.m.

“Yes, nagtatrabaho ‘yung spouse, minsan 9 to 5, minsan longer.

If there’s power in words, let’s start practicing it.”

It’s a way of humbling ourselves.”

SENATOR ALAN PETER CAUETANO REMINDS CIA WITH BA VIEWERS OF THE POWER OF WORDS

Senator Alan Peter Cayetano reminds ‘CIA with BA’ viewers of the power of words

During the November 17 episode of ‘CIA with BA,’ Senator Alan Peter Cayetano shared a valuable insight with his co-hosts, Senator Pia Cayetano and Boy Abunda about the power of words.

As they wrapped up the episode, Kuya Alan posed a thought-provoking question to the audience and the Mariteam: “Naniniwala ba kayong may power sa words?”

He observed how people, especially mothers, often downplay their roles by adding “lang” when describing their responsibilities at home.

He stressed that while a spouse might work a 9 to 5 job, homemakers work 24/7. He emphasized that the law acknowledges the equal importance of their contributions.

“Yes, nagtatrabaho ‘yung spouse, minsan 9 to 5, minsan longer. Pero ‘pag homemaker ka, 24/7 ka. Even sa batas, kinikilala na equal ang inyong kontribusyon at trabaho,” he said.

Encouraging everyone to recognize the value in what they do, he concluded, “If there’s power in words, let’s start practicing it.”

Boy Abunda agreed with this perspective, sharing a personal anecdote.

“Importante talaga ‘yon,” he said, recalling his upbringing in Samar. It’s a way of humbling ourselves.”

The conversation underscored the significance of language in shaping one’s mindset and the way we perceive our own roles, highlighting a call to value every effort and responsibility.

‘CIA with BA’ continues the legacy of the late Senator Rene Cayetano and airs every Sunday at 11:00 p.m. on GMA7, with replays on GTV the following Saturday at 10:30 p.m.

That’s very relevant sa Asians.”

Sa pagtatapos ng episode, pinaalala ni Kuya Alan sa viewers, “Let’s find ways na palakasin ang mga pamilyang Pilipino, and one way to do that is to stop any abuse against women and children.”

Dagdag ni Ate Pia, “Let’s make this a better place for women and children, at maging partners ang women and men sa pagpapalaki ng pamilya at pagpapaganda ng inyong mga komunidad.”

UES OR NO? CIA WITH BA SEGMENT HIGHLIGHTS WOMENS AND CHILDREN'S RIGHTS AMID AWARENESA MONTH

‘Yes or No?’: ‘CIA with BA’ segment highlights women’s and children’s rights amid awareness month”

In light of the Awareness Month for Violence Against Women and Children, which coincides with National Children’s Month, the popular “Yes or No” segment of CIA with BA turned its focus on the rights of women and children.

In this episode, Jabo of the Mariteam asked a pressing question: “’Yung kaibigan ko po, naghiwalay sila ng kanyang asawa.

Senator Pia Cayetano responded without hesitation: “Yes, pwede niyang kasuhan.”

Ate Pia reminded everyone that it’s not only physical abuse that can be grounds for charges, but also economic abuse.

Meanwhile, Tim raised a different question: “Legal po bang magtrabaho ang bata below 15 years old sa kanilang family business?”

This time, Senator Alan Peter Cayetano answered: “Yes. That’s very relevant to Asians.”

Citing Republic Act 9231, as amended by R.A. 11996, he noted that minors can work in their family business as long as it does not pose harm to the child or affect their development and schooling.

As the episode concluded, Kuya Alan reminded viewers, “Let’s find ways na palakasin ang mga pamilyang Pilipino, and one way to do that is to stop any abuse against women and children.”

“Let’s make this a better place for women and children, at maging partners ang women and men sa pagpapalaki ng pamilya at pagpapaganda ng inyong mga komunidad,” added Ate Pia.

‘CIA with BA’ continues the legacy of the late Senator Rene Cayetano and airs every Sunday at 11:00 p.m. on GMA7, with replays on GTV the following Saturday at 10:30 p.m

“Sabi niya sa’kin, ‘Pia, may batas ako — rooming-in; they are related, so ia-amend mo ngayon ‘yung batas ko,’” kwento niya.

CIA WITH BA : PIA CAYETANO DISCUSSES ROOMING-IN LAW FOR NEW MOMS

‘CIA with BA’: Pia Cayetano discusses Rooming-In Law for new moms

Senator Pia Cayetano enlightened new mothers and confirmed that hospitals are required to let them and their newborn babies stay together immediately after birth.

In the "Yes or No" segment of the November 3 episode of CIA with BA, Annika of the Mariteam shared her experience of giving birth. She said her baby was only briefly taken to the nursery and was quickly brought back to her.

Out of curiosity, Annika asked if there is a law requiring hospitals to follow that practice.

“‘Yung mom ko po napansin niya kasi ‘yon and sabi niya, hindi naman daw gano’n dati,” she shared.

Senator Pia Cayetano answered directly with a “yes,” explaining that this practice is part of the "Rooming-In Law" authored by the late Senator Edgardo Angara.

Ate Pia shared that being colleagues in the Senate, Angara taught her how to amend the law when she introduced legislation to promote breastfeeding.

“Sabi niya sa’kin, ‘Pia, may batas ako — rooming-in. They are related, so ia-amend mo ngayon ‘yung batas ko,’” she narrated.

Why? Because ‘yon ‘yung natural bonding na nagpo-promote ng breastfeeding,” she explained.

“According to studies, ang baby malabo pa ang paningin niyan for months pero gagapangin niya ang dede ng mommy niya,” she added.

‘CIA with BA’ continues the legacy of the late Senator Rene Cayetano and airs every Sunday at 11:00 p.m. on GMA7, with replays on GTV the following Saturday at 10:30 p.m.
