SYNOPSIS
“Love is a powerful force that knows no bounds, transcending time, distance, and circumstances.”
ANNA, social media manager of some of the country’s most famous stars and politicians is taking a break. This, after realizing that one of her clients, her ex-boyfriend’s father, who is set to become a Senator, is involved in graft. She is being asked by Mark—appealing to their pinagsamahan— to help him.
Hounded by her personal convictions as woke and progressive, she accepts the invitation of a friend to go to Siargao to resolve her dilemma.
The truth is, she is still in love with Mark, this is why she’s been helping him all along.
In Siargao, she meets GREG, a Pinoy who owns a small bar and, together with his sister TERRY, takes care of his mom who is recuperating from a triple bypass and showing signs of Alzheimer’s. As expected, the meeting led to another meeting. Feelings for each
other develop. But also, complications.
At first, Anna looks at Greg as a companion. But seeing Greg taking care of her and taking care of his mom, she warms up to him, slowly falls for his charm.
Greg also falls for Anna. Intensely.
Anna feels that she is ready to fall in love.
But what if Greg is not yet ready—not to fall in love—but to tell Anna that he’s a transman.
Will Anna—in all her wokeness and her progressive stance and stand, be able to accept that she has fallen in love for a transman? And if loving someone means loving that person without condition, will Anna still love Greg if she learns that he is a transman?
UNCONDITIONAL is a meditation on love, and the ultimate sacrifices we give when we’re in love.
