CIA with BA’: When respect and peace clash under one roof
A happy family living together is one of life's greatest joys. But what happens if the younger generation disrespects their grandparents, and the parents fail to discipline them? Can the grandparents ask them to leave, especially if the parents contributed to the house?
This was Ramona's situation, which she shared on ‘Payong Kapatid’ during ‘CIA with BA’ on June 23.
Ramona’s daughter Teresa and her husband, with their six children aged 19 to 25, moved back in their house five years ago. Ramona initially had no issues, but her grandchildren's behavior has become disruptive, even leading to physical altercations.
So ayun ho, nagkasama-sama ulit sa bahay,” she shared.
Senator Alan Peter Cayetano explained that legal action requires sincere family discussions first. Ramona wants to resolve the issue without escalating to a barangay complaint, but Teresa insists they also invested in the house.
He also said while Ramona can ask them to leave, it involves a process, especially considering Teresa's financial contributions which require evidence like receipts.
Co-host Senator Pia Cayetano emphasized the importance of communication to avoid legal disputes.
Mahirap.
Boy Abunda concluded the episode with a reminder to choose happiness.
'CIA with BA' continues the legacy of the late Senator Rene Cayetano and airs every Sunday at 11:00 p.m. on GMA7, with replays on GTV the following Saturday at 10:30 p.m.
