CIA WITH BA : GOSSIP CAUSES CONFLICT BETWEEN SISTERS, THEIR FAMILIES

CIA with BA: Gossip causes conflict between sisters, their families

Words cut deep.

Edna took to ‘CIA with BA’ on Sunday, February 18, to complain about her younger sister Rubie who was spreading rumors about her having an affair.

Edna said she found this out from her husband, but Rubie denied the claim and said she would never do anything to harm her sister’s reputation.

“Kasiraan niya, kasiraan ko din,” Rubie said.

The younger sibling also took the opportunity to share her own sentiments against her elder sister for allegedly insulting and hurting her children.

Senator Alan Peter Cayetano said he remembers the riddle: ‘Habang nababawasan, lalong lumalaki – butas.”

“Gano’n pala ‘yung mga problema sa relationship, ‘pagka-hindi mo na-ceasefire, lalong lumalalim nang lumalalim so dadating ‘yung isang araw na napakahirap nang i-solve,” he said.

Alan, together with his sister Senator Pia Cayetano and co-host Boy Abunda, tried to make the two sisters understand how important it is for them to forgive each other.

The two said they are still open because whatever happens, they are sisters, and at the end of the ‘Case 2 Face’ segment, Kuya Alan offered the two a prayer.

“I still believe na malaki pa rin ang pag-asa ni Edna at ni Rubie pero lesson sa ating lahat, kung merong hindi pagkakaunawaan, try to resolve it right away. Kung hindi ma-resolve, ‘wag nating pilitin, pero ‘wag nang lumalim pa,” he said.

“I’m really hoping 2024 will be a year of healing for all Filipino families,” Kuya Alan added.

For her part, Ate Pia noted: “We always encounter this. Ang laking role po ng mga kaibigan, kapitbahay, ibang kamag-anak na ‘wag nang dagdagan.”

‘CIA with BA’ carries on the legacy of Senator Rene Cayetano, the late father of the sibling senators. The senior Cayetano was a renowned lawyer who gained fame through his radio and TV program 'Compañero y Compañera,' which aired from 1997 to 2001.

The program–hosted by Alan, Pia, and Boy airs every Sunday, 11:00 p.m. on GMA7.
