MAMASAPANO : NOW IT CAN BE TOLD HINANGO SA TOTOONG KUWENTO AT PANGYAYARI

This movie, based on the rwports of the Board of Inquiry of the Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, the Senate Committee on Public Order, and actual interviews with eyewitnesses, tells the tragic story of the so-called Mamasapano Massacre on January 25, 2015, when members of the PNP Special Action Force the PNP's elite team. 

While executing a Law Enforcement Order in Mamasapano against two of the world's most wanted Islamic terrorists Usman and Marwan who carried a bounty of 1 million and 5 million US dollars respectively, the SAF were surrounded by heavily armed Muslim extremists after the government failed to send reinforcements and air and artillery support during the extraction. While Marwan was confirmed to have been killed, Usman eacaped and forty-four members of the SAF now called the SAF 44 were mercilessly killed by the rebels.

Told in non-linear fashion and alternating between battle scenes and proceedings of the PNP-CIDG Board of Inquiry headed by then General Benjamin Magalong, it gives a unique perspective of that disastrous incident from the point of view of the investigators, the survivors and even the Muslim themselves.

With an all-star cast and supporting cast of hundreds, Mamasapano reveals heretofore untold stories straight from the mouths of those who were actually in the middle of the conflict. 

The cast are Edu Manzano, Paolo Gumabao, Aljur Abrenica, Allan Paule, Rey Abellana, Gerald Santos, Ritz Azul, Myrtelle Sarroza, Rez Cortez, Juan Rodrigo, Jervic Cajarop and Claudine Barretto.

Directed by Lester Dimaranan plus the script of Eric Ramos. This is produced by Borracho Films and this year's official entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival showing on Decembet 25 in cinemas nationwide!
