Two gentlemen fight over apple, ‘CIA with BA’ fixes
“A wrong doesn’t correct something also that’s wrong.
mapeperwisyo.”
These were Senator Alan Peter Cayetano’s final words as he reflected on the
complaints he took, together with sister Senator Pia and co-host Boy Abunda, in the
recent episode of ‘CIA with BA.’
In the ‘Case 2 Face’ segment, apple vendor Jovi accused tricycle driver Jhon-Jhon of
stealing one of his apples at a terminal in Quezon City. However, to his embarrassment,
Jhon-Jhon punched and choked him until they both got into a fistfight.
“Hindi ko kinakampihan si Jhon-Jhon pero there’s more than one way to call a person
While the two had initially talked about their issue in a barangay hall near where the
incident happened, Jovi felt that Jhon-Jhon was insincere. Also, he felt threatened that
the latter might hurt him again.
But the public service program, once and for all, clarified with the two that they are both
safe from each other.
At the end of the segment, Jhon-Jhon apologized to Jovi.
“Pasensya ka na. Hayaan mo hindi na mauulit ‘yon,” he said.
‘CIA with BA’ also pledged to cover their financial losses during the week when Jovi and
Jhon-Jhon had to go back-and-forth to the barangay hall to face the complaint.
The program continues the legacy of Senator Rene Cayetano, the late father of sibling
senators Alan and Pia. The senior Cayetano was a renowned lawyer who gained fame
